BBBA launched the BBBA Awards with the aim to celebrate the achievements of our members.  We believe in the power of sharing good practices and we are looking forward to hearing about your stories of success and to promoting them throughout the BBBA network and beyond.

Applicants for the four categories are as follows:


Trade and Investment Development between Bulgaria and the UK:

  • Ligna Group:  with their successful furniture business in the UK
    The Edgbaston Hotel / Birmingham and The Ampersand Hotel/ South Kensington London, followed by four 4 stars hotels: Samlesbury Hotel Preston, Pullman Hotel / Liverpool, Urban Villa/ West London and 3 stars hotels: The Commissioners Quay Inn

  • BGO Software: with their work for the NHS
    HARP changes the healthcare industry 50 000+ users, 100 committees, Official Government Supplier for the Health Research Authority (HRA) of the Department of Health in the United Kingdom

Breakthrough Trade and Investment – New Мarket Еntry in Bulgaria or the UK:

  • Bulgaria Insurance: with the launch of the British brand AXA Health without Borders Insurance
    AXA is the world’s leading insurance company, which has not been present in Bulgaria so far. The first entry of AXA through the partnership with Bulgaria Insurance via International healthcare plans: Health without Borders

  • British Football School: with the launch of the British Football summer camp in Sofia
    The training programme was run in a partnership with another new BBBA member, Toddlers Academy, and over 160 children took part in the training. These were delivered by a team of four British coaches and Bulgarian assistants

  • The Blueprint: with the launch Picmiller in Bulgaria
    Picmiller provides professional photo-editing services focused on the real estate sector. Picmiller service is not a software service. All images are processed by professional photo editors

  •  HeleCloud: with the launch of their business both in Bulgaria and the UK
    IT consulting services contracts with 7 UK based companies, developed intellectual property related cloud methodology and solutions, AWS Educate in partnership with Amazon Web services, solutions for high performance computing

Corporate Social Responsibility:

  • NewTrend Agency: with the DigitalKidz Open Source School
    Open Source School goes beyond the school building. It’s an educational program and educational tools that support the mindset change about technology. It combines an annual TechEdu conference and exhibition, DigitalKidZ® Hub & DigitalKidZ® Club educational program, online books and tutorials, DigitalKidZ® Imagination educational activity game and handbooks distributed across Europe

  • Evgeni Minchev: with his work to promote Bulgaria in the UK with multiple initiatives - British Bulgarian Business Ball, Martenitsa Ball, etc.
    The British Bulgarian Business Ball, which is organised every year in London / The Lansdowne Private Club  regularly raises funds for the British Royal Legion, the guests get to know one other through brief presentations of the businesses of those present at the event, Heritage Foundation which is raising funds for the Bomber Command Memorial the Russian Ball and the Imperial Ball in London.

    Evgeni Minchev is a donor and a participant in Poppy Ball, in London, which is dedicated to the British Royal Legion.

  • BGO Software: with the multiple projects of the BGO Foundation in the fields of education and sports
    Impact on more more than 2500 people, 60% of their profits invested in over 50 successful charity projects, basketball teams across the country, sponsor of the National Basketball Tournament Finals , Web academy , With love for Bulgaria for disadvantaged communities

  • GlaxoSmithKline (GSK): with their CSR initiatives aiming to improve the overall healthcare situation in Bulgaria
    Initiative for health and vaccination project: network of health mediators of 215  in more than 100 municipalities in Bulgaria . Expanding the project in 5 more countries, under the GSK’s European Community Partnership Program

Contribution to the Development of BBBA:

  • Adrio: for recruiting new members and for participating in multiple committees
    Bringing new members to the Association – three of ADRIO partners became members of BBBA in the first six months of 2017, one of them is a UK based consultancy company working internationally. Willingness to organise and lead small free training sessions for BBBA members. Member of the Membership Committee and the Events Committee

  • Athlon: for BBBA website development and maintenance and support
    Humble, understated, effective and efficient support to BBBA in IT committee work and website design and maintenance

  • British Football School: for supporting multiple BBBA family fun and sports events
    The training programme was run in a partnership with another new BBBA member, Toddlers Academy, and over 160 children took part in the training. These were delivered by a team of four British coaches and Bulgarian assistants. BBBA internal cooperation

  • Glorient Investment Bulgaria: sponsorship and BBBA committees contribution - active events committee member in the face of Miroslava Alexandrova - potential board member,  regular sponsor


Applications will be reviewed carefully by the BBBA Board, which will choose the winners and announce them at the Annual General Meeting.
